Air conditioning and heating replacement in Fort Worth

A new system, sized to your house and written down line by line

Tell us about your home and your system. An advisor visits, runs the load calculation and sends a quote you can read at your own table.

An advisor calls to set the home visit. Measuring comes first, and the price comes in writing after it.

What we replace

The systems in Fort Worth homes

Most of our work is the central air conditioner and furnace in a house with attic ducts. We also add ductless units where there are no ducts to use.

  • Air conditioners, heat pumps and furnaces

A matched indoor and outdoor set, sized from the load calculation.

  • Ductless mini-splits

For an addition, a garage room or a sunroom the main system doesn't reach.

  • Ductwork

Attic ducts take a beating from Texas heat. We test them, seal them or replace them.

  • Thermostats and filters

A thermostat that fits your system, and a filter your system can actually breathe through.

Sample quote

What a replacement quote contains

Every written quote lists these lines. The amounts for your house go beside each one; this sample shows the scope only.

  • Load calculation

The result of the whole-house calculation and the tonnage it points to.

  • Equipment, by model

Outdoor unit, indoor coil or furnace, thermostat. Model numbers, not a brand line.

  • Ductwork

What is tested, sealed, resized or replaced, and what is left as it is.

  • Electrical

Disconnect, wiring and breaker, as needed for the new unit.

  • Permit and inspection

The city permit, and who is at home for the inspection.

  • Old system removal

Refrigerant recovered, old equipment hauled away.

  • Start-up and testing

Refrigerant charge and airflow measured and written down.

  • Warranty terms and how long the quote holds

The manufacturer's and the firm's terms, in writing, and the date the quote ends.

A sample of the scope lines only. Your quote carries your own equipment, work and terms.

Load calculation

The tonnage is a calculation, not a guess

A ton is how much heat a system moves out of the house: 12,000 BTU in an hour. The right number for your home comes from a load calculation, the industry method called Manual J. We measure the rooms, count the windows and note which way they face, check the attic insulation, test how leaky the ducts are and ask how many people live in the house. The result is how much heat your house gains on a Texas afternoon, and we size the new system to that figure, not to the size of the one coming out. A system that is too big cools quickly, shuts off early and leaves the air damp. One that is too small never catches up in August.

Install day

What the day looks like

Most single-system replacements are done in a day. Ductwork changes can add another. The crew lead confirms the plan with you the day before.

  • 7:30 a.m.

    The crew arrives

Floor runners go down, and the crew lead walks the quote with you line by line.

  • 9:00 a.m.

    The old system comes out

Refrigerant is recovered, then the old outdoor and indoor units are removed.

  • 11:00 a.m.

    The new equipment is set

Pad, outdoor unit, indoor coil or furnace, line set, drain and electrical connections.

  • 2:00 p.m.

    Ducts and thermostat

Duct connections are sealed and the new thermostat is wired and set up.

  • 4:00 p.m.

    Start-up and testing

Refrigerant charge and airflow are measured and written on your paperwork.

  • 5:00 p.m.

    Walk-through and clean-up

We show you the thermostat and the filter, haul off the old equipment and leave the paperwork.

Times are a sample. Your own schedule depends on the house.

Financing

Paying for it

We can arrange financing through a lender. The lender, not us, sets the rate and the term, and both depend on approved credit. You see the lender's terms in writing before you decide, so ask for them with your quote and compare.

  • Financing is optional. Paying another way is fine.

  • Ask for the lender's name and terms with your quote.

  • Terms and credit approval are the lender's.

From customers

What customers say about the quote

“Two other companies gave me one number on a card. This quote listed the electrical work and the permit on their own lines, so I could see what I was comparing.”

Ebony T.Replacement, Arlington

“They went through the whole quote in Spanish for my mother, one line at a time, and answered every question before they left.”

Dora V.Replacement, Fort Worth

“The crew covered the hallway floor, took the old unit away the same day and showed me where the filter goes before they left.”

Questions

Before you call

How do I know whether to repair or replace?

Age and repair history are the first clues. A system that is more than 12 to 15 years old and keeps needing repairs is usually worth pricing a replacement for. If a repair makes more sense, we say so.

Do you pull the permit?

A replacement usually needs a city mechanical permit and an inspection. The permit is its own line on your quote, and we handle it.

Do you have an overnight emergency line?

No. We replace and install systems, and our phones are answered in the hours at the top of every page. After-hours messages are returned the next business morning.

Can I get the quote in Spanish?

Yes. Ask for César, Beatriz or Andrés when you call, and the visit and the quote can be in Spanish. The whole site has a Spanish version too.

Ready for a quote you can read?
